Last year, Harold Henderson and I compiled “State & Regional Genealogical Society Journals,” a directory of the journals of societies around the United States.
M. Diane Rogers, editor of the British Columbia Genealogical Society’s journal (British Columbia Genealogist), has compiled and published a similar list for Canadian genealogical societies: “Canadian Provincial Genealogical Publications.”

Another one I would suggest for anyone researching ancestors in the British Isles is “Anglo-Celtic Roots,” the quarterly journal of the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa. The journal presents articles on Canadian and British Isles family and social history, as well as genealogical research techniques and practices. Anglo-Celtic Roots has several times been awarded First Place in the NGS Newsletter Competition.
